For too long, Liberal and Conservative governments have made decisions that benefit large corporations and wealthy landowners, at the expense of the people that make up the vast majority of Canada's population. Whether it's incrementalism on climate change, or patchwork solutions to address reconciliation with Indigenous peoples, or relying on reactive rather than proactive measures to combat the toxic drug crisis, the symptoms of neglect in this country run deep. In this election, voters are ready to see meaningful change in the way that government serves their community. Courtenay-Alberni is no different. We have an opportunity to send a message to Ottawa that Vancouver Island has a voice, and it will be heard. I am looking forward to presenting my vision for a bold and exciting future!
